Nästan sommar..

Ute blommar körsbärsträden och det är nästan sommar. Fast kallt.. brr! Kanske man ännu behöver varma fingervantar? :-) Päivyt-fingervantar i Drops Alpaca. Den här gången räckte det med ett nystan av bottenfärgen.

Tulpanerna blommade så här fint förra veckan. Nu är de nästan utblommade redan. Det är spännande att se vad som poppar upp här och där - vi flyttade in i nya huset så sent förra året att vi missade hela våren! Det finns en del minst.. hmm, intressanta färgkombinationer nog. Och några tulpaner växer det mitt i trädgårdslandet, hur de nu hamnat där?! ;-)


Some pics of the tulips in our garden last week. It's real exciting watching what turns up, and where.. We moved into the house so late last summer that we totally missed springtime. I must tell you some of the colour combinations are.. interesting, to say the least. ;-)

The cherry trees are blossoming, and it's almost summer. But damn cold, brr! Perfect for warm alpaca gloves, no? This time around I managed to use only one ball of the main colour.


Yesterday Finland made it to the finals at the Eurovision Song Contest, yay! Way to go Teräsbetoni and "Missä miehet ratsastaa". It just dawned on me that the song is actually quite anti-knitting. Just listen to the lyrics: "Where men ride, sheep can't graze.." No sheep, means no wool.. and no wool means NO YARN! And we all know how knitters love our merino.

I've got nothing against men on horses (preferably white..), charging off to save a damsel in distress (preferably me..) - but stay out of the sheep's paddock, will ya?! ;-)
